Vogel opens facility in Beaver
MARS — Vogel Disposal has opened a new waste transfer facility in Beaver County.
Doug Vogel, vice president of Vogel Holdings, said the company has opened a transfer facility at the 60-acre site of the former B and W Steel Mill in Beaver Falls, which Vogel bought six years ago.
The Beaver Falls facility is known as Valley Waste Service.
A maintenance and office building also were added at the site where contractors and residents can bring material and items they want to dispose of.
The refuse is then transferred to the Seneca Landfill in Jackson Township, which also is owned by Vogel Holdings.
Vogel said the new waste transfer facility will eliminate the necessity of Vogel residential garbage trucks operating in Beaver County to travel to Seneca Landfill to unload.
Instead, the trucks can unload at the Beaver Falls facility, and the collective refuse will be trucked to the landfill in larger quantities.
Vogel Holdings also owns Tri-County Industries, a waste transfer facility in Grove City.
