Joshua Lasky of West Jefferson, Ohio, graduated from Clark State Community College with an associate's degree.
He will continue his education at Ohio State University to pursue a degree in earth science.
Lasky is a 2009 graduate of West Jefferson High School and the son of Samuel and Lori Lasky of West Jefferson.

Katherine Sylvia of Butler graduated from Denison University with a bachelor's degree in environmental studies and a minor in geoscience.She received the Denison Alumni Award and the Richard D. Perkins Memorial Scholarship.Sylvia was also a member of varsity track and field, where she holds school records in discus and shot put.She was also active in club rugby and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority.Sylvia is a 2008 graduate of Butler High School and studied in Freiburg, Germany, with the International Education of Students program in 2011.Sylvia is the daughter of Mark and Mary Jo Sylvia of Butler.She has accepted a position as an environmental specialist with GAI Consultants in Pittsburgh, Megan Sippey of Middlesex Township was awarded a medical degree from Penn State.Sippey, a 2003 graduate of Mars High School, also holds a bachelor's degree from Duquesne University.She will continue her training in a general surgery residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C.———Roberta (Bobbi) Miller graduated suma cum laude from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in hospitality management.She was first in her major.Miller was named to the dean's list every trimester, all four years and was the recipient of many academic scholarship awards each trimester.She completed several internships/externships including Disney World, Engauge Advertising Agency, Marriott Hotels and Kimpton Hotels.Miller is employed by Marriott Hotels in Columbus, Ohio, and the daughter of Jay and Gina Miller of Zelienople.
