The Richmond RiverRats jumped out to a 6-0 lead through three innings to down the Slippery Rock Sliders 8-3 in Prospect League action Thursday.

Josh Pearson went 4-for-4, including a double and two RBI while Garrett Ruckel added a double and two RBI for Richmond, which rapped out 12 hits, five coming off doubles.

Slippery Rock (5-9) received a home run, single, two RBI and two runs scored from Ryan Abernathy.

Mike Porcaro and Scott Sulcoski added two hits apiece the latter including a double while Pat Gelwicks also doubled for the Sliders.
