Nursing facility to expand
BUFFALO TWP — A nursing home on Route 356 is expanding.
The township supervisors on Wednesday approved a plan by the company Raywar to build a 6,000-square-foot, two-floor addition to the Assisted Living at Rosebrook building.
The building’s current size is about 35,000 square feet.
The addition will add 12 rooms to the existing 68. The current capacity of 80 residents would increase to 95.
Brian Henry, who owns the facility with his wife Deirdre, said the new rooms are larger because of a recent demand for ones accommodating two residents.
He said Rosebrook has been receiving inquiries about shared rooms from married couples, siblings and parent-child duos.
The company also will add seven parking spaces.
