SAXONBURG — District Judge Sue Haggerty recently heard these cases:

Mitchell C. Dunmyre, 23, of Mars waived to court charges of driving under the influence and illegally parking at an intersection, filed April 25 by Penn Township police.

Peter A. Grujich, 57, of Saxonburg waived to court charges of fleeing to avoid apprehension, hit-and-run, being a habitual offender for driving with a suspended license, disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, running a red light, driving at an unsafe speed, abandoning a vehicle on a road, careless driving, reckless driving, failing to stop and render aid, failing to immediately notify police of an accident and an open container violation, filed April 3 by state police.

Sean L. Joyce, 28, of Pittsburgh was held for court on charges of simple assault, child endangerment, reckless endangerment and harassment, filed March 26 by state police.

Justin A. McCall, 32, of Saxonburg pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct, filed Jan. 26 by state police. McCall was ordered to pay $501 in fines and court costs, and given credit for time served.

Robert W. Thomas, 71, of Cabot waived to court charges of DUI, reckless endangerment, careless driving and three lane violations, filed March 8 by state police.

Kyle E. Toth, 20, of Butler waived to court a charge of criminal mischief, filed March 6 by state police.

Kevin C. Vantine, 49, of Sarver pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct, filed April 19 by Buffalo Township police. Vantine was ordered to pay $469 in fines and court costs.

SLIPPERY ROCK — District Judge Tim Shaffer recently heard these cases:Matthew Beyers, 19, of Hillsborough, N.J., waived to court four counts each of theft and receiving stolen property, charges of possessing a controlled substance and a small amount of marijuana and 137 counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, filed March 8 by Slippery Rock University police.Joseph R. Brandon, 24, of Prospect was held for court on two counts each of theft, receiving stolen property, and theft from a vehicle, and charges of conspiracy to commit theft, conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit theft from a vehicle, filed March 14 by state police.Brandon, in a separate case filed March 5 by state police, was held for court on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit theft.Brandon S. Kishlock, 29, of Johnstown, Cambria County, was held for court on a charge of bad checks, filed Feb. 7 in a private complaint.Jared Magon, 19, of Washington County waived to court charges of theft and institutional vandalism, filed May 7 by SRU police.Alexander Rizzutto, 19, of Oakdale, Allegheny County, waived to court charges of theft and institutional vandalism, filed May 7 by SRU police.

CHICORA — District Judge Lewis Stoughton recently heard these cases filed by state police:Mary Ann Capuzzi, 42, of Butler waived to court charges of driving under the influence, simple assault, careless driving and reckless driving, filed March 19.Deborah A. Koss, 57, of East Butler waived to court charges of DUI, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving, filed April 18.Robert Merten Sr., 52, of Evans City waived to court charges of DUI, possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, failing to carry his vehicle registration card, driving without insurance, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and an open container violation, filed March 15.Victoria J. Palmer, 52, of Butler waived to court charges of DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt, filed March 1.Jeremy Serafin, 27, of Slippery Rock waived to court charges of DUI, disregarding traffic lanes, improperly entering or leaving a road, careless driving and reckless driving, filed April 17.Travis Swidzinski, 26, of Butler was held for court on a charge of theft, filed April 23.
