Strand Theater, 119 N. Main St., Zelienople, hosts New Wilmington native and author Florence Biros premiering the film “DogJack,” based on her novel, at 4 p.m. Sunday. A presentation by the author and a book signing and question and answer period will follow. “DogJack” was inspired by a dog featured in a photograph at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland. REGION Tuesdays@2 will show “The Iron Lady” at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kean Theatre at St. Barnabas, Washington Place, 5847 Meridian Road, Gibsonia. At the same site, Wednesdays@1 will show “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Admission is free, but donations are accepted to benefit the St. Barnabas free care fund. PITTSBURGHRangos Omnimax Theater at the Carnegie Science Center, North Side, is showing “Born to Be Wild,” “Rocky Mountain Express” and “Tornado Alley.” Tickets for most shows are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and children.
