CHERRY TWP — Students in the Moniteau School District next year will pay more for breakfast and lunch.

The school board Monday night approved an increase in food prices.

Breakfast at the elementary and high school will be 90 cents, up 5 cents; and lunch will be $1.60 for elementary students and $1.85 for high school students, both up 10 cents.

Director of food service Jennifer Zellefrow proposed the increases as the school meets Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids requirements.

The board’s next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday.
