The Slippery Rock track and field team broke three school records during Friday's Baldwin Invitational.

Sophomore Emily Campbell placed third in the girls shot put with a 39 feet, 9½ inch effort and is the third-best toss in the state for Class AA so far.

In the boys invite, Ryan Thompson as third in the 800 with a time of 1:56.43 while the 3,200-mete relay team of Thompson, Ty Udy, Braden Sloan and Brock Sloan shaved off 12 seconds of their best effort to finish at 7:56.98 to place second overall.

The foursome also placed eighth in the 1,600 relay.

Other medalists in the girls portion of the event included Anna Cessar, third in the 1,600 (5:24.58), Jessica Bennett, sixth in the 3,200 (11:41.19) and the 3,200 relay team of Cessar, Bennett, Olivia Green and Sarah Kadlubek, seventh (9:54.76).
