Moniteau senior Kyle Armagost broke the school record in the javelin Wednesday, coming up with a 194-foot toss.

Matt Schandelmeier set the previous record of 193-6 in 2006.

Tony Genaway won the long jump, triple jump and high jump for Moniteau (7-0-1), which defeated Cranberry 97-53 and Keystone 106-42.

In other action:

• Lydia Dennis won both the triple jump and the long jump, but Mars fell in the WPIAL Class AAA team playoffs to Shaler (126-24) and West Mifflin (76-74).

Mars did down Connellsville 101-47.

Dennis jumped 17 feet, 3 inches in the long jump and had a triple jump of 35-10.

n Knoch fell to Greensburg Salem (89-60), Gateway (114-35) and North Allegheny (131-19) in the WPIAL Class AAA boys team playoffs.Andy Tuzikow had a throw of 145-01 to win n the discus and Carl Shaw (11-6) won the pole vault.• The Karns City girls swept the running events on the way to a sweep over A-C Valley (110-39) and Redbank Valley (108-42).Emily Schumacher won three events (the 400, 800 and triple jump) and ran onf the winning 1,600 relay.The Karns City boys also earned a sweep, beating A-C Valley 140-9 and Redbank Valley 83-67.Tyler Marsinetti won the 110 hurdles, the 300 hurdles and the high jump.
