Do you ever even read a newspaper? Rich people's taxes are lower now than they were before WWI. Is our economy any better because of it? If the highest tax bracket was raised to what it was 100 years ago, all our budget problems would disappear. The Republican infrastructure plan - ignore crumbling bridges, leaky roofs at VA Hospitals, roads filled with pot holes, schools that are falling apart. How long can we ignore things like that? I don't want to drive on or under a bridge that is falling down. I'm totally sick of Republicans ignoring our internal problems and starting unjustified wars so the rich get richer. I'm sick of paying for people who don't have health care and going to the emergency room - where they are not allowed to be turned away - and then they never pay, so MY taxes go up! Rich people's taxes don't go up, mine do. Their taxes go down because they are job creators. Give me a break! I have paid into Social Security my whole life, and just when I'm getting to where I can see retirement in my near future, Social Security will be gone.
