Watson, Raiders handle P-R, 3-1
Emily Watson scattered six hits over seven innings and Sarah Blagg had a single and a double to lead the Seneca Valley softball team to a 3-1 win over section rival Pine-Richland Friday afternoon.
The only run Watson surrendered was unearned.
Elsewhere:
• Karsan Simpson had two doubles and four RBI, but Knoch squandered a 6-0 lead in the seventh inning in a 7-6 loss in eight innings to Valley.
Jhoey DeWalt also had three singles for the Knights (9-3, 4-3).
• Kara Kershbaumer went 5-for-5 with two doubles, but Karns City could not overcome 10 errors in a 17-13 loss to Cranberry.
