3 Cran. plans move ahead
CRANBERRY TWP — The township supervisors Thursday evening gave the go-ahead to three land development projects including two new large office buildings on Dutilh Road, a new Get Go convenience store on Route 228 and a new Sheetz and flex warehouses near the intersection of Route 19 and Ehrman Road.
Two new three-story, 63,000-square-foot office buildings will be built on the former Castcon Stone property adjacent to the Enterprise Car Rental business on Dutilh Road.Ron Henshaw, director of community development, told the supervisors an internal road being built between the two offices will be called Harmony Shortline Road, and be a reminder that the old Harmony Shortline Trolley Line's route ran in that area.
The new Get Go will be on Route 228 in the Cranberry Crossroad development, which includes the new Dicks Sporting Goods under construction and office buildings, which are about to begin construction, said Henshaw.Giant Eagle representatives told the supervisors that the current Get Go on Route 19 across from the Cranberry Mall will remain in operation when the Route 228 location opens.
Supervisors finalized Century Business Park land development plans at the intersection of Ehrman Road and Route 19 that include a new 4,997-square -foot Sheetz at the corner and a 26,861-square-foot flex warehouse/office building.Two other flex buildings are planned for the site, but will be developed in later phases, said Henshaw.As a part of this development, a traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of Ehrman Road and Route 19.Jason Kratsas, Cranberry director of engineering, said the project has already been bid, and he expects the work on the traffic signal to be done later this summer.
