Butler County's great daily newspaper

pension

Cass: By Pa law, the county commissioners' are allowed to receive a pension. There is a Butler County Pension Board that is comprised with the County

Controller and the Treasurer. They voted for the pension, many, many years ago. It is old news. Because this county is doing well, (low unemployment, job growth, low taxes) I do not have a problem with it as long as it is never increased again. As for Eckstein, he brings it up to cast negative light on the current and the previous commissioners to somehow make himself appear a watchdog. (they are not the ones who voted for it) Where was he 8 years ago? Why not ask the pension board to revise it? Because he wants it! He is the first commissioner in a long time to use a county vehicle. What is that about? He said he would take a pay cut? He has not..... He is a very dangerous person and you should try to attend a meeting sometime so you can see

exactly what is going on. It will be very interesting to see how much money will be spent defending his many pending lawsuits.
