If the hospital doesn't go bankrupt, we pay through higher premiums. I really don't see the Republican opposition to making people pay for something that they use. They are obviously in the pockets of the insurance companies because they don't have our best interests in mind. Of course government employees have the best free insurance that our tax money can buy, so they really don't care.
