BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Vocational-Technical School is offering open houses at 210 Campus Lane to 10th-, 11th-, or 12th-grade Butler County students interested in attending cosmetology or health assistant programs.

The cosmetology open house is from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The health assistant open house is from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

CENTER TWP — The annual spring common shop at North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will begin with a free breakfast at 9 a.m. with the doors opening to the shop at 10 a.m. April 28.Entrance to the common shop will be done by lottery system this year, not by the order in which people enter the building.The common shop was established to share material goods, (clothing, household items, toys, etc.) to those in need.Items are given away to anyone who has need, and nothing is sold.There are no income limitations.Forms to place an announcement are available at the Butler Eagle office or on the Focus page at www.butlereagle.com.
