Harold 'Butch' Bowers
Harold “Butch” Bowers, 73, of Zelienople died Friday at his home.
Born Feb. 6, 1939, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John and Blanche McCartney Bowers.
Mr. Bowers was a diesel mechanic and had worked at Halstead and the former Motor Express before opening his own business, Bowers Garage, which he operated for more than 20 years. Butch loved to collect and restore antique cars and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.
He is survived by two daughters, Laura A. Dufford and her husband, Duff, of McClure, Pa., and Brenda L. Martin and her husband, Allen, of Evans City; two sisters, Verna Belle Moffatt of Harmony and Betty Lou Fischer of Lorin City, Tenn.; a brother, Jack Bowers of Ellwood City; five grandchildren, Casey Anderson, Dusty Martin, Troy Dufford, Erik Martin and Misty Dufford; and his friend, Marlea Mathew of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Bowers, and a sister, Beverly Bowers.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
