John David Kort of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on New Year's Day, 2012. He was the beloved son of Dorothy Kort Jadlowiec of California, Pa., and the late Henry C. Kort.

He is survived by four brothers, Henry of Bethel Park, Michael of Evans City and Robert and Louis of Allison Park; three sisters, Jane Cantoni of Clarksville, Greene County, Suzanne Edwards of Tacoma, Wash., and Lydia Redman of Pittsburgh; 17 nieces and nephews; and four grandnieces and grandnephews.

A brother, James, preceded him in death.
