CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Township Area Lions Club, in conjunction with Rowan Elementary School, will hold its first annual Hoop Shoot Contest from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center gymnasium.

The event will include a basketball hot shot and free-throw shooting contest. Children in grades 1-6 are eligible.

All money raised will benefit the VIP Sports Camp at Slippery Rock University, which provides children with visual impairments the opportunity to participate in adapted sports.

Perspective donations can be made out to the VIP Sports Camp or the Cranberry Township Area Lions Club.

Football clinicYOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown State University football program will hold its third annual Women’s Football Coaching Clinic March 30 at Stambaugh Stadium.Fee is $25 and all proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association Fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
