Helen M. DiCarlo, 82, of Chesapeake City, Md., formerly of Arrowhead Road, Emlenton, and of Pittsburgh, died Monday at the home of her daughter.

Born Jan. 22, 1930, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Angelo and Anna Hick Ferry.

Mrs. DiCarlo was a member of Barkeyville United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was involved in Girl Scouts for many years.

She was married to John A. DiCarlo on Nov. 12, 1948, in Memphis, Tenn. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2009.

Surviving are four sons, John A.F. DiCarlo Jr. of Nitro, W.Va., Daniel DiCarlo and his wife, Karen, of Crosslanes, W.Va., James A. DiCarlo and his wife, Kelly, of Emlenton and Albert A. DiCarlo of Nitro, W.Va.; a daughter, Lisa M. Balunsat and her husband, Craig, of Chesapeake City, Md.; 17 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David J. DiCarlo, and two brothers, Harold and Robert Ferry.

<B>DICARLO</B> — Friends of Helen M. DiCarlo, who died Monday, Jan. 23, 2010, will be received at <B>Hile Funeral Home</B>, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barkeyville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephanie D. Thompson, former church pastor, officiating.
