Donald William Frederick, 82, of Clearwater, Fla., originally of Butler, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday.

Born in 1929 in Butler, he was the son of Timothy H. Frederick and Gertrude Shearer Frederick.

He was the owner and operator of Bon Aire Distributors in Butler from 1952 until 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Jane Whyte Frederick; their four children, Jana Frederick Collins and her husband, Glyn, of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Amy Frederick Cobb and her fiance, David Beazley, of New Port Richey, Fla., Timothy H. Frederick and his wife, Christy, of Columbia, S.C., and Donald Drew Frederick of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and two grandsons, Wilson Collins and Dash Frederick. He also is survived by his sister, Helen Domke of New Wilmington, Pa.

<B>FREDERICK</B> — A memorial service for Donald William Frederick, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, will be in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to the National Cremation Society.
