All four candidates for the 3rd Congressional District have filed their petitions and will appear on the ballot for the April 24 primary.

The candidates are:

Republican: Incumbent Mike Kelly of Butler

Democrats: Missa Eaton of Sharon, Mercer County; George Schroek of Rockdale Township, Crawford County; and Mel Marin of ErieThe deadline to file petitions was Tuesday.One Republican and one Democrat will face off for the seat in the Nov. 6 general election.Kelly is in his first term. He defeated incumbent Democrat Kathy Dahlkemper in 2010.The 3rd District covers all of Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties, as well as parts of Clarion, Crawford and Erie counties.
