SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University men's cross-country team has been named one of 80 NCAA Division II teams to earn All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

To be eligible, all members of the active roster must post a collective cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. SRU is one of seven PSAC teams to achieve this distinction.

GROVE CITY — Grove City College's James E. Longnecker pool will host the 2012 Presidents' Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships this week.The championships begin with diving preliminaries at 7:30 p.m. today. Competition runs through the consolation and championship finals, slated for 5:30 p.m. Saturday.GCC is the PAC's three-time defending men's and women's swimming and diving champion.

LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University forward Chaquille Pratt came off the bench to average 16 points and five rebounds in wins over Lock Haven and Edinboro to earn PSAC-West Freshman of the Week.He made 11 of 17 shots from the floor and sank 9 of 10 free throws.
