Cass - May be just a small point - the Pennsylvania House of Representatives is not the U.S. Congress. The original intent of the First Amendment was to prevent the Federal Government from establishing, or condoning a particular sect of Christianity as an "Official" religion. There were never any discussions concerning "other religions", as they really did not yet exist in the U.S. It did not originally intend to prevent the states from doing so.
