Mike Nazaruk

Nazaruk

Mike Nazaruk, 86, of Saxonburg, formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at Saxony Health Center.

Born Sept. 18, 1925, in Sun Mine, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles Konrad Nazaruk and Matryna (Mary) Hyudachuk Nazaruk.

He graduated from Winfield Township High School in 1943. He married Margaret “Peggy” Seigfreid on July 28, 1948, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Meridian, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Mike was retired from Pullman-Standard in Butler, and he also had worked for Butler County and for Allegheny Ludlum in Brackenridge. He also was a self-employed electrician in Butler and Allegheny counties.

Mike belonged to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Butler and enjoyed attending services there. When his children were young, he enjoyed participating in Boy Scouts with them. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his later years, he also enjoyed flea marketing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy”, his two sons, James Michael and George Konrad (Carol Stutz) Nazaruk, both of Butler; his two grandchildren, Kristyn Nazaruk of Richmond, Va., and David Nazaruk of Pittsburgh; his sister-in-law, Mary Katherine Nazaruk; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Loik, Nellie Dobson and Pauline Nazaruk; and four brothers, Raymond, Stanley, Lewis and John.

<B>NAZARUK </B>— There will be no visitation for Mike Nazaruk, who died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by <B>Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home</B>, Blawnox, Pa. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Garden Cemetery, Cheswick, Pa.
