Butler County Community College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams dropped games to Westmoreland County Community College Monday night.

The Pioneer men suffered an 87-83 loss despite having the lead at halftime for the first time all year. John Tyler had 25 points and 10 rebounds for BC3 while Antawane Davis added 20 points and Alex McDeavitt 19. Bill Smith had 14 rebounds.

The Pioneer women dropped a 57-40 decision despite Casey Fleeger’s 15 points and Karyn Larson’s 12 points and 17 rebounds. Heather Cooper had 11 rebounds and Emily Wise four assists.
