George William Weichey
George William Weichey, 81, of Butler passed away at 8:10 p.m. Monday at St. Johns Specialty Care Center in Mars.
He was born on Dec. 21, 1929, in Butler, the son of the late Stanley Weichey and the late Mildred (Lysowski) Weichey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War when he was a military policeman and a paratrooper. He also was a member of the VFW Post 249.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mark (Wanda L.) Blackburn of Long Beach, Miss., Mrs. Bob (Diana) Claypool of Kittanning, and Mrs. Richard (Scarlet) Weiland of Butler; a son, George W. Weichey Jr., of Butler; three grandchildren, Andrew and Michael Claypool and Lynzie Blackburn; two brothers, Carl Weichey of Butler and Chester Weichey of Florida; and a sister, Rose Callahan of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Treva Joan (Baughman) Weichey, who died Sept. 12, 1953, three sisters and seven brothers.
