Freeport rallies for 49-42 win
Taylor Schrecengost scored eight of her team-high 14 points in the fourth quarter as the Freeport girls basketball team rallied to beat Apollo-Ridge 49-42 Thursday night.
The Yellowjackets (4-8, 3-5) entered the fourth quarter trailing by four before outscoring Apollo-Ridge 23-12 over the final eight minutes.
Schrecongost, playing in her first game in weeks because of an injury, also had 12 rebounds.
Lynsey Gugino added 11 points for Freeport.
