Max Solitz

Max Solitz, 92, a longtime resident of Linhurst Avenue, Butler, and a recent resident of Elmcroft in Saxonburg, passed away at 9:02 p.m. Dec. 10 at UPMC St. Margaret.

He was born June 15, 1919, in Butler, to the late Fred Solitz and Daria Revinich Solitz.

Mr. Solitz was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, and he retired from Armco, Butler Works.

He was a member of American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora and the Joseph T. Black VFW Post 249.

Mr. Solitz is survived by one sister, Anna Mae Cole of Sebring, Fla.; a niece, Michelle Cole of Horseheads, N.Y.; several other nieces and nephews; and a very special close friend, Jennie Hughes of Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Paul Solitz, and one sister, Elsa Solitz.

<B>SOLITZ</B> — There will be no public visitation for Max Solitz, who died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the North Side Cemetery with Chaplin Dave Chambers officiating.Memorial donations may be made to Medi Home Hospice, 612 N.
