Howard C. Dillaman, 91, of Butler passed away Thursday at home under the care of his grandson, Ian (Stacey) Kingsley.

He was born Jan. 4, 1920, in Boyers, to the late Fred Reader Dillaman and Sara Wolford Dillaman.

Mr. Dillaman was a member of the Christ Outreach Church.

He was a salesman for the Electrolux Co.

Mr. Dillaman served in the Army and was a decorated World War II veteran, having served in numerous campaigns including the Battle of the Bulge and in the third wave at the beaches of Normandy.

He was a member of the Christian Businessmen's Committee and the Gideon's Ministry.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, doing prison ministry and being a lay minister.

Mr. Dillaman is survived by one son, the Rev. Rockwell Lane (Karen) Dillaman of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Vicki (Michael) Kingsley Peuler of Cranberry Township and Denise (Joseph) McCay of Canonsburg; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vicki Dillaman; a grandson, Hill F. Kingsley; and one brother, Ronald Dillaman.

<B>DILLAMAN</B> — Friends of Howard C. Dillaman, who died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Andrew Brewer of the Christ Outreach Church officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
