Shoaf

Ronald E. Shoaf, 80, of Zelienople passed away Thursday while under the care of Creek Meadows Senior Guest Haus in Zelienople.

Born July 4, 1932, in Uniontown, he was the son of the late Phillip and Mildred (Ready) Shoaf.

Ronald was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.

For over 28 years, he was employed with A&P Grocer. For 17 years, he was employed with the Zelienople Water Authority, and for two years, he was employed with U.S. Steel in Clairton.

He is survived by his four children, Eugene V. (Beth) Shoaf of Harmony, Rita M. (Joe) Deutsch of Evans City, Darryl E. (Sharon) Shoaf of Evans City and Ronald N. Shoaf of Zelienople; his brother, George Shoaf of Warren, Ohio; his sister, Ruth Crowe of Warren, Ohio; his six grandchildren, Jenna Lawson, Sarah Lawson, Mandy Lawson, Brian Shoaf, Evan Shoaf and Kelly Cotton; and his three great-grandchildren, Mason Richards, Clayton Wellington and Colton Lawson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Elinor L. (Javorsky) Shoaf, who passed away on Dec. 17, 2011; and his two sisters, Phyllis Walsh and Rita Shoaf.

SHOAF — The family of Ronald E. Shoaf, who died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Lawrence R. Smith, celebrant.
