Kenneth M. Norman Sr., 61, of West Sunbury, formerly of Cranberry Township, died Sunday at VA Butler Healthcare.

Born Jan. 15, 1950, in Allegheny County, and growing up in the Warrendale area, he was the son of Newton G. and Marie Stevenson Norman.

Mr. Norman began his career as a painter then became a certified maintenance engineer at Butler Petroleum for 23 years. He retired after 11 years with ITS in New Kensington. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

Mr. Norman had a contagious laugh and that twinkle in his eye when he smiled. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved to plant his garden and to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Scott, who he married July 14, 1973; a daughter, Michele A. Norman of Butler; two sons, Kenneth M. (Tennille) Norman, Jr. of Renfrew and Gregory A. Norman of West Sunbury; two brothers, Harry Norman of Evans City and Robert Norman of Cranberry Township; four grandchildren, James and Michael Edowski, Ava Goldinger and Haley Norman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Newty, George and Billy Norman.

<B>NORMAN </B>— Friends of Kenneth M. Norman Sr., who died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
