Slippery Rock falls to Sharon

Dustin Mellot had 27 points — all coming on nine 3-pointers — but the Slippery Rock boys basketball team fell short in a 69-63 Region 6 loss at Sharon Tuesday.

The Rockets (2-7, 0-5) scored just six first-quarter points before climbing their way back into the contest.
