Michael A. Butler, 53, of Karns City, died unexpectedly Friday at his home.

Born April 13, 1959, in Armstrong County, he was a son of Naomi (Bouch) Butler and the late Donald Butler.

Surviving are his son, Michael A. Butler Jr. of Colorado; one daughter, Michelle Kriess of Butler; four grandchildren; his mother, Naomi Butler of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Barb Butler of Florida and Jackie Coles of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Dale Butler of Prospect and John Tomko of Butler; and his beloved black lab, Blackie.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mandy Butler, and a sister, Toni Chavis.
