Mary Cecelia Malesh
Mary Cecelia Malesh, 97, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at her home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Lyndora, the daughter of the late Stephan Kern and Marie (Janisch) Kern.
Her many passions included participating in a local pool league, traveling, crocheting, knitting, bowling and, most of all, being with her friends and family.
Surviving are three sons, Matthew R. Malesh of Grove City, James D. Malesh of Slippery Rock and David J. Malesh (Jamie) of Slippery Rock; three grandchildren, Misty Miller (Frank) of Slippery Rock, James R. Malesh of Renfrew and Ashley Malesh (Steve) of Slippery Rock; five great- grandchildren; a sister, Hilda Vawryk of West Chester, Pa.; as well as many loving friends and relatives.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew G. Malesh; and three brothers, Harry, Steve F. and Louis R. Kern.
MALESH — Friends of Mary Cecelia Malesh, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, will be received at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 10 a.m. to noon today.A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with Father James F.
