CHAMBER starts university

WEXFORD — THE CHAMBER has started its new Women in Business University, which offers a yearlong course to women who own businesses.

The university is geared to those owners who want guidance and education when it comes to their businesses. The second half of the year includes an assigned mentor to provide knowledge and resources to the students.

The half-day classes will be held one day a month, January through June.

Class candidates must own 51 percent or more of the business, make $250,000 or less annually and be in their first to seventh year in business to qualify for the class.

A graduation ceremony will be in December, and students will have an opportunity to win a $500 grant for their business.
