Mary Ann Josephs
Mary Ann Josephs, 76, of Butler died Sunday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 18, 1936, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Sobkowz Valensky.
A homemaker, Mary Ann had worked in retail sales for many years at several local department stores, Montgomery Ward, Jaffee's, Troutmans and the Lerner store. She loved to cook, and she had a very large cookbook collection.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Josephs; they married Oct. 30, 1955. Also surviving are four sons, Norman (Brenda) Josephs of Harlensburg, Rick (Mary) Josephs, Donald Josephs Jr. and Nick Josephs, all of Butler; one daughter, Tina LaMaison of Tennessee; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph (Eileen “Penny”) Valensky of Butler; and two sisters, Norma (Wallace) Allen of Butler and Carole (William) Klowak of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by a brother and one grandson.
JOSEPHS — There will be no visitation for Mary Ann Josephs, who died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.A private funeral service will be held for her family, and interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial donations could be made either to the VNA Hospice Program or to the Butler Cancer Center.Arrangements are entrusted to the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
