James Dennis Eck, Sr., 73, of Richland Township died Saturday at his home.

He was born May 23, 1939, in Pittsburgh to the late August Frederick Eck and the late Margaret Anna Koch Eck.

Mr. Eck was a Mason.

He worked as an auto body technician for numerous local businesses and owned and operated Eck's Sharpening Service.

He also enjoyed shopping.

Mr. Eck is survived by his wife, Roberta M. (Edwards) Eck of Richland Township, who he married Oct. 3, 1960; and two children, James D. (Connie) Eck, Jr., of Prospect and Judy A. (Carl) Aldridge of West Deer Township.

Five grandchildren survive him, Crystal (Chad) Snyder of Butler; Ryan Eck of Prospect; and Janine Aldridge, Jennifer Aldridge, and Jacob Aldridge, all of West Deer Township.

His brother, Richard Eck of Wexford, also survives him.
