Dorothy A. Hogan

Dorothy A. (Winslow) Hogan, 76, died Nov. 16, 2011, at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington, N.C. She lived in Broadway, N.C.

Dorothy was born Oct. 11, 1935, in East Brady. She was a daughter of Joseph C. “Pat” and Dorothy A. (McDowell) Winslow, who are deceased.

She was the wife of Raymond L. Hogan, who survives. A teacher, she made a difference in students' lives for 30 years.

Dorothy enjoyed quilting and creating works of art, and she had a passion for her family and her two dogs, Dixie and Sassy.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by two sons and three daughters. They are Stephen C. Hogan and his wife, Becky, of Asheboro, N.C.; Thomas M. Hogan of Smock, Pa.; Helen K. Hogan and her companion. Wil Dorta. of Cape Coral, Fla.; Joanna O'Shea of Pittsburgh, and Jeannette M. Smith of Meadville.

Dorothy's five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren survive her.

She is also survived by five brothers, Pat, Alan, Paul, David and Tom Winslow, and two sisters, Joan Strousser and Susan Mastro.

<B>HOGAN</B> — Friends of Dorothy A. (Winslow) Hogan, who died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>CHARLES B. BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME</B>, 105 4th St. in East Brady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Eusebius Church in East Brady. The Rev. William Kuba, pastor, will preside.
