Mary C. Gerwig, 103, of Little Creek Road, Jackson Township, passed away Tuesday at Creek Meadows Senior Guest Haus.

Born Nov. 19, 1908, in Whites-town, she was the daughter of William and Emma Blinn Cooper.

Mrs. Gerwig was a homemaker.

She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Zelienople, a former member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474 Auxiliary and a former member of the Zelienople Golden Agers. Mrs. Gerwig was a Gold Star Mother of Beaver County.

She is survived by a son, John L. (Judy) Gerwig of Harmony; three grandsons, John Jr. of Prospect, Chuck of Palmer, Alaska, and Dave of Slippery Rock; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Gerwig, who she married June 15, 1935, and who died April 8, 1980; a son, Ronald Gerwig, who was killed in action in Vietnam on Aug. 19, 1967; and 11 siblings.

Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Tom Smith, officiating.
