Knights donate to BHS Foundation
The Saints Peter and Anthony Knights of Columbus Council 13943 of Slippery Rock donated $10,500 to the Butler Health System Foundation in memory of Ann Lueken for the purchase of ultrasound equipment at Butler Health System's Slippery Rock Medical Building.
The fourth Knights of Columbus golf outing was held with more than 100 participants gathering to pay tribute to Lueken, who passed away after a battle with cancer.

Bob McComas of Slippery Rock received Certificates of Appreciation from Lions International President Wing-Kun Tam of China on Nov. 10 at the District 14-N Fall Rally in Beaver Falls.The three members of the Butler County Lions Clubs were awarded for their commitment to Lionism and its service to the visually impaired in the local community.The Certificate of Appreciation is the fourth highest award presented by the International Association of Lions Clubs, the world's largest service club organization with 1.35 million members in 46,000 clubs located in 208 countries throughout the world.Bonnett and Ivell have received the honor three times, while McComas was recognized for the first time.
