Erma P. Rader

Erma P. Rader, 96, of Butler passed away at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Forward Township to the late Phillip L. Rader and Amelia (Spithaler) Rader.

Miss Rader was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the Kings Daughters Sunday School Class.

She enjoyed reading, music, cooking and socializing with friends.

Miss Rader had was an executive secretary for the National Electric Coil Co. in Columbus, Ohio, where she retired from in 1983. She earned a rating of certified professional secretary in 1969.

Miss Rader is survived by two nieces, Tonia Wolfe and her husband, Donald, of Butler and Margaret Hickman and her husband, John, of Green, Ohio; a nephew, Delmar R. Rader and his wife, Delores, of Dumfries, Va., and Patricia Rader, wife of her late nephew, Richard W. Rader, of Ontario, Ohio; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar L. Rader and C. Wesley Rader; and also by a nephew, James Rader.

<B>RADER</B> — Friends of Erma P. Rader, who died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, assisted by her great-nephew, the Rev. Dr. Rich Rader officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
