The Butler County Community College men’s basketball team slipped to 0-5 Wednesday night with a 70-65 loss to East Gateway CC.

The game was tied at 65 when East Gateway sank a 3-pointer with 13 seconds remaining. The team added a pair of free throws in the closing seconds.

Antwan Davis paced the Pioneers with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Slippery Rock High School graduate Alec McDeavitt contributed 17 points and six assists while Butler High graduate Bill Smith grabbed eight rebounds.
