BUTLER TWP — Zanotti Harley-Davidson of Butler, the fourth oldest Harley- Davidson franchise in the nation, has announced it will be closing the business at the end of the year.

Owner Andy Zanotti said that Harley-Davidson has no plans to replace the dealership in Butler.

Zanotti Harley-Davidson opened in 1924.

“The decision to close has been a personal decision for us since many of the employees and customers are considered close friends,” Zanotti said.

“It’s been a pleasure serving our customers and we thank them for their many years of loyalty,” he said.

Zanotti, who owns the business along with Doris Zanotti, said customers could find other nearby dealers by using the dealer locator tool on the Harley-Davidson website.

The Zanottis also are the founders and sponsors of two motorcycle clubs — the Sunset Riders started in 1950 and the Butler H.O.G. chapter started in 1989.
