Helen L. Thompson, 47, of Butler passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Feb. 24, 1964, in Butler, the daughter of the late Richard Clauser Sr. and Georgia (Bowser) Clauser Colosimo of Butler.

Helen was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church where she was co-director for its vacation Bible school. She was a volunteer for the Butler High School cheerleaders and a member of Butler High School Football Boosters. She loved reading and spending time with her family.

She was the warranty administrator for Butler County Ford.

Surviving are her husband, Marshall W. Thompson, who she married Nov. 3, 1990; two daughters, Magen Maxwell and Alison Thompson, both of Butler; three sons, Matthew (Heather) Maxwell, Andrew Maxwell and Jacob Thompson, all of Butler; her mother; her twin sisters, Rona Colosimo (Todd) Pepmeier and Rene Crowder, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Richard E. “Skip” (Donna) Clauser Jr. and Larry Clauser, both of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her brother, James V. Clauser; and one nephew, Eric Clauser.

Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.Services will be at the Unionville Presbyterian Church, 1114 Sunset Dr., Butler, at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Matt Kail officiating.
