SEVEN FIELDS — First National Bank of Pennsylvania, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corp., has hired Carol Shreffler as manager of the Seven Fields branch.
Shreffler will be responsible for branch operations and the development of new business and customer service efforts.
Before joining First National Bank, Shreffler was business client manager and branch manager for Huntington Bank in Cranberry Township. She has worked as a branch manager for PNC in Adams Township.
Shreffler earned a bachelor's of business administration degree from Clarion University.
She and her husband, Michael, and the couple's son live in Seven Fields.
CRANBERRY TWP — Dr. Amanda Adams has joined Butler Medical Associates as a family practice doctor at the Cranberry office on Ehrman Road.She had been a primary care doctor, medical director of immunizations and medical director for woman's health for the U.S. Air Force.She received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.
BUTLER TWP — NexTier Bank has given $215,000 to six educational organizations through the 2011 Educational Improvement tax Credit Program, a state Department of Community and Economic Development program.This program allows businesses to support education by making donations to organizations that have been approved by the state. The donor can then use the donations as tax credits.The money went to:• Economics PA• Entrepreneuring Youth• Junior Achievement of Western PA• PA Free Enterprise Week/Foundation• National Character Education Foundation• Moraine Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America.
BUTLER TWP — The Middle States Commission on Higher Education in Philadelphia on Nov. 17 affirmed the accreditation for Butler County Community College.“This report from Middle States confirms the outstanding work that we are doing at BC3,” Nick Neupauer, BC3 president, said in a statement. “As an accredited institution, we are able to confer degrees, transfer credits to other colleges and universities, and award financial aid to our students. Without it, we couldn’t exist.”The commission is a voluntary association dedicated to education quality assurance and improvement.An on-site evaluation of BC3 is done every 10 years to ensure the college meets the commission’s standards.
