Edith Zamoski

Edith Zamoski, 84, of Concordia Lutheran Ministries passed away Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

She was born Dec. 15, 1926 in Szydlowiec, Poland, to the late Harry Leo Raczka and Evelyn (Swartz) Raczka.

Mrs. Zamoski was a member of the Congregation B’nai Abraham. She was active in her synagogue and was a member of sisterhood and life member of Hadassah.

Mrs. Zamoski also was active in the Democratic Party and a member of the Democratic Women’s Club. She was a Democratic committee person for Precinct 3 in the city of Butler and was a former volunteer for Human Relations.

Mrs. Zamoski is survived by two granddaughters, Kia Lynn Bergman of Hillsborough, N.J., and Darcy Anne Holtzman of Glenshaw; two son-in-laws, Ben Holtzman of New Kensington and Ed Brick of North Carolina; and three great-grandchildren, Jude, Delilah, and Jonah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Zamoski, who passed away March 17, 1981; and also by two daughters.

ZAMOSKI — Funeral services for Edith Zamoski, who died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, will be at 2 p.m. today at the B’nai Abraham Cemetery with Rabbi Yaier Lehrer, of Adat Shalom Congregation, officiating.
