Carl S. Brunermer, 86, of Butler passed away Monday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Connoquenessing to the late Clair H. Brunermer and Bessie (Bowen) Brunermer.

Mr. Brunermer was a member of Christ Outreach Church.

He worked in the tractor repair shop at Butler Armco, retiring in 1987 after 41 years of service.

Mr. Brunermer was a member of Butler Lodge 272 F&AM, Caravan 14 of Butler, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, the Butler Shrine Luncheon Club and the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh.He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II.Mr. Brunermer is survived by his loving spouse, Anabel, who he married Nov. 20, 1948; two sons, Jeffery L. Brunermer and his wife, Barbara, of Langhorne, Bucks County, and Kenneth C. Brunermer and his wife, Lisa, of Georgetown, Pa.; four grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Logan of Springdale; one brother, Robert Brunermer of Apollo; and a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

<B>BRUNERMER</B> — Friends of Carl S. Brunermer, who died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary A. Koontz, of Christ Outreach Church, officiating.
