Elsie A. Welsh
Elsie A. Welsh, 86, of Cabot passed away early today at Saxony Health Center.
Born Oct. 21, 1925, in South Bend, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Clarence F. Slagle and Ruth (Pollard) Slagle.
She retired in 1969 from the South Butler School District as a janitor.
She was a member of the Cabot United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are her loving husband, Charles A. Welsh, who she married Aug. 30, 1947; her two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Ruth Ann) McPhail of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Joseph (Dianne) Gallagher of Butler; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard M. Slagle and Leland Slagle; and a sister, Mary Gregg.
<B>WELSH</B> — Friends of Elsie A. Welsh, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Judd officiating.
