BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College opened its basketball season Friday night with a pair of losses to Harford (Md.) Community College at the BC3 Fieldhouse.

Jacqueline Diez scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the BC3 women, who suffered a 57-46 defeat. Butler graduate Casey Fleeger had 12 assists in the contest.

Antawane Davis had 24 points and 12 rebounds for the Pioneer men in an 86-71 loss. John Tyler added 22 and Slippery Rock High grad Alec McDeavitt 10.
