Union secures 15-6 win
Taylor Smith threw two touchdown passes, including an 8-yarder to Brody Pollock with 1:13 remaining to seal a 15-6 Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference football victory over Keystone Friday.
Smith completed seven of 11 passes for 113 yards. He also connected on a 61-yarder to Aaron Graham late in the first quarter for an early 8-0 Golden Knights' lead.
Keystone's Tanner Hannold scored on a 31-yarder in the third quarter, but the conversion run to tie the game failed.
Pollock also intercepted two passes.
Union (4-3, 2-2) doubled up the Panthers (2-5, 2-2) in total yards, 240-120.
Grove City 70, Oil City 2 — Wes Phipps rushed for 140 yards and four touchdowns and Foster Reznor added 122 yards and three scores as the Eagles crushed the Oilers (3-4, 1-3) in this District 10-region 5-AAA contest.Grove City, which also posted 77 points in a win against Franklin earlier this season, amassed 399 rushing yards.Brian Murone booted all 10 of his extra points for Grove City (7-0, 4-0), who held a 42-2 halftime lead.
